Fully vaccinated and ready to travel! My first Angie Adventure in over a year took me to Savannah, Georgia in search of the Painted Bunting (and also Gullah history but that will follow in a separate post). I found the bunting (side note: two weeks after my trip, one was spotted at Winnemac Park in Chicago, well out of it’s migratory rage!) and many other birds as well.
The following set of pictures are from Harris Neck Wildlife Refuge, with the exception of a couple I took during a morning walk around the salt marsh where I was staying. Harris Neck is known for it’s nesting Wood Storks and is located about an hour south of Savannah.
