Let's Go On An Adventure

Travel planning for me is a bit of an…obsession. I often drive my partner batty because we haven’t even left for our scheduled vacation before I’m trying to plan the next one! But I just can’t help myself. Researching the journey is for me almost as enjoyable as taking it. I mean the possibilities are endless and narrowing it down to something manageable (which for my partner means insisting on some downtime and rest days) is like putting together the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. We’ve also decided that it’s probably best if I have a solo adventure every once in awhile.

This year I decided to start keeping a travel planning journal where I jot down all ideas of places to visit, unique lodgings, etc…and this blog is a fun way to keep my obsession going…and to share it with you.

Let’s go on an adventure, shall we?

The first twenty or so pages were ramblings about visiting Romania on my own and then meeting up with my partner in Croatia.
We decided on Vietnam.
And I will have a solo adventure in the U.K.

People travel to faraway places to watch, in fascination, the kind of people they ignore at home.–Dagobert D. Runes

Just watch, all of you men. I’ll show you what a woman can do…I’ll go across the country, I’ll race to the Moon… I’ll never look back.— Edna Gardner Whyte
