Montrose Harbor and Point-Winter 2021

Post blizzard and pre brutally cold temperatures I made it out to the lakefront with my repaired camera to capture some bird images. Looking forward to getting back into my new found hobby that I started last May and put on hold while my camera was on the fritz. Not at that point yet where I want to just go out with some binoculars. I like the challenge of trying to get a good photo.

First up the paddlers, waders and shore birds.

Bufflehead
Common Golden Eye

Long Tailed Duck

Below, a few of our common neighborhood tree birds.

Downy Woodpecker
“What? It’s not spring yet?” sayeth the robin.

A few other pics from the area including some hardy souls sledding on Cricket Hill.
